Welcome to my real estate journey! I’m Terence Young, a passionate commercial mortgage broker. What I love most is helping people achieve their investment dreams through exceptional funding solutions. Embodying Winston Churchill’s words, “We make a living by what we get, we make a life by what we give,” I’m committed to supporting others in the real estate world.
In my early days of real estate investing, I encountered familiar challenges that many face today. Despite ambitious goals, securing the necessary funds for my visions was a struggle. Traditional banks were hesitant about fix-and-flip loans, and hard money lenders burdened me with excessive fees, jeopardizing potential profits. In hindsight, having someone like me – an experienced investor to guide me through obstacles and find the best loan options – would have been invaluable.
In 2004, my real estate journey began while I worked for a national retailer in the corporate world. Feeling unfulfilled, late-night real estate infomercials ignited a spark within me. I took the plunge and purchased my first property to flip. Like any rookie, I encountered challenges, but I also learned invaluable lessons about equity appreciation after refinancing the property and pulling out $26,000.
Since then, I’ve delved into wholesaling, fix-and-flips, and even ventured into becoming a landlord. These experiences led me to join Fortune Builders, where I had the opportunity to coach others and understand the importance of implementing efficient investing systems.
